You should decide before departure if you want to spend the afternoon at the wide wild beach (clear water, umbrella and beach towels) or in the “Bagno” with umbrella and deckchair.

We start towards Grosseto. After visiting the sights of the city or walking around the city walls, or taking a stroll through the shops, we will go to the biggest market of the Maremma. Also the market hall with the fishermen, butchers and farmers gets a detour from us. At the market we take a snack. Our recommendation: Porchetta Panini, a roll filled with suckling pig roast at one of the most popular stands.

Now we drive into the natural park at Albarese, see there beside the typical Maremma cattle, many horses and with a little luck wild boars and foxes, sometimes even at the very wild, but very beautiful beach of the nature reserve.

Then we continue with a short visit to the new port of Marina di Grosseto, then to visit behind the pines between Marina Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia the probably most beautiful natural beach of Maremma either short or on request to spend the afternoon there.

Later we will go to the promenade of the fishing village of Castiglione della Pescaia to spend the afternoon in a typical Italian Bagno with sunbed and umbrella. So be sure to bring beach towels and water with you to be free, whether you prefer to lie on a quiet beautiful beach or spend a typical Italian beach day (seeing and being seen).

After 17h we get a sensational ice cream in the Gelateria Paradise, Via Vittorio Veneto, Castiglione and watch the fishermen return to the port or stroll through the nice shopping street in Castiglione up to the fortress, then in the evening at the beach in a simple but honest Bagno La Vela in the setting sun Shells, risotto, pasta and fried fish, as ordinary italian people love to eat.
